Ceningan Divers takes ocean conservation to heart, we support a clean, healthy ocean by supporting Green Fins and Project AWARE amongst many other conservation initiatives.
We opened our eco-friendly dive resort on August 1st 2015 out of our passion for marine ecology, service industry, and scuba diving. Our personal goal was to create a sustainable eco retreat, and a safe and relaxing resort for divers to enjoy.
We aim to welcome you the same way we hope to be received when we go on a diving vacation; like family, in a personable and friendly setting. We operate our awards-winning boutique dive resort following our personal values, and international safety and training standards.
Sandra comes from Zuoz, Switzerland. She started diving in 2003. She studied tourism management before becoming a PADI instructor in 2009. Since then she’s helped hundreds of divers achieve their goals, delivering quality training of all levels from Open Water to Instructor. Sandra is a PADI Master Instructor. She is known for her attention to details and strict adherence to PADI standards. When she is not busy mentoring our dive team you can find her around the shop managing our diving operation and leading our GoPro Programs.
Robert comes from Montreal, Canada. He’s been diving since 1988. He did his Divemaster in 1997. He is a jack-of-all-trade. He is passionate about the environment and social justice, he leads various projects around the resort with dedication and commitment to our mission. After a rewarding career in marketing, he returned to his first love; scuba diving and exploring our Ocean Planet. He’s been active in the industry since 2010. Robert is a PADI Master Instructor, an Emergency First Response Instructor Trainer, and Tec Deep Instructor.
David originally comes from Johannesburg, South Africa, but has lived in Ireland, Australia and Singapore. He first got his Open Water back in 1996 in South Africa at the tender age of 16 and became a PADI dive instructor in 2013 on the Caribbean island of Roatan. After spending 5 years in Singapore working in the digital
travel industry for TripAdvisor, David decided to return to the world of diving on our picturesque island of Ceningan. He is passionate about diving and sharing the wonders of the underwater world with our guests, every dive is a great dive.
Lea is originally from Modesto, California, but after living in different states around the US, she decided to go International in 2008 for an opportunity in Sydney, Australia where she met David and discovered her love for diving. She got her Padi Divemaster in 2013 in Roatan, Honduras. Afterwards, she went back to work to Singapore for 5 years where Lea worked as an Admissions Director for International schools. In February 2020, she made the move to the beautiful island of Nusa Ceningan. Lea prides herself in working to provide every guest the best experience possible.
Pak Desi as he is known is our Captain. He knows the water around the Nusa Islands better than anyone as he is a multi-generational pirate, fisherman and boat captain. The sea is in his blood!
Pak Putu is more than just the Captain of our small boat. When he is not diving he is busy helping around the resort with various tasks, community support and watching over our property at night!
Angga comes from Lombok, he joined Ceningan Divers as one of our Local Divemaster Internship candidate. Over the past 4 years, he has grown with our company and is now a PADI Specialty Instructor.
Vita comes from Java, she joined our team in 2019 with our internship program. After completing her Divemaster, she became an instructor in 2021 and is now working as a full-time instructor with us.
Gusti comes from Sulawesi, he is our skillful boat hand and dive operation support staff. When you don’t see him helping our team and guests on the boat, he is busy filling thanks and supporting the dive team.
