Deposit Payment Terms (revised July 1, 2021)

Updated Deposit Payment Terms (For NEW bookings made between July 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021)

Ceningan Divers and Ceningan Resort requires a fully refundable 25% deposit to confirm your booking. We cannot guarantee your reservation until your payment has been received. 

New booking deposits made between July 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021, for travel between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2023, are 100% refundable up to 30 days prior to arrival. 

The remaining non-refundable* 75% balance is due 30 days prior to your arrival at the resort.

No show without communication will forfeit the entire amount.

* (Unless the cancellation is due to covid related travel restrictions from an official government policy or due to a positive covid test prior to arrival)   

COVID-19 Cancelation Policy (for bookings made prior to July 1, 2021)

The following policy is based on Indonesian and international “Force Majeure” laws and regulations. It is applicable to ALL reservations/deposits paid for a program at our dive resort prior to or following our announcement on March 19th, 2020 until July 1, 2021.

Will we be offing refunds?

The short answer is no, the financial impact of this global crisis has put a heavy strain on the entire tourism industry, including our small business, our local staff and their families. We do not have the capacity to offer refunds, We understand this is also impacting you and your travel plans, so as an alternative, we are offering you the following options:

  • You can postpone your upcoming trip without penalty.
  • 100% of your deposit will be applied to your upcoming dive vacation with us.
  • We are placing no limit on the timeframe you can use your credit (NO LIMIT, you can come in 2025 if you want).
  • You can transfer it to any person of your choice (and you can stack them).
  • If you wish to claim the loss on your credit card or travel insurance, we will offer you a letter of cancellation. You will forfeit your deposit with us.

As long as we have availability for the new dates, we will apply 100% of the deposit we received to your new booking no questions asked.

Payments Made via Paypal or Transferwise

Ceningan Divers and Ceningan Resort uses Paypal, which offers a secure way of paying with your credit card. Paypal charges a 4.5% transaction fee on all International transfers (Currency conversion rate is done at an exchange rate of approximately 2.5% from the Banks). We also use Transferwise which works as a bank transfer broker, it works from many countries and you can make a payment in IDR directly to our Bank Account. (Payment processing fees will be deducted from the refund, if applicable)

Payments At the Resort

For paying your account at the resort including drinks, food, extra dives, etc. when you are here, we accept the following methods:

  • Cash We are required to conduct all transactions in Indonesia Rupiah (IDR). 
  • Money Changing Service – You can exchange most major currencies such as S$, AUD, CAD, USD, CHF and at the resort. It will be converted to the BCA posted daily exchange rate to Indonesian Rupiah. This is the best payment option. To give you peace of mind we have a safe to lock your cash and valuables whilst you stay with us.
  • US$ currency must be 2006 or newer print. US$50 or US$100 denominations that are clean, crisp with no folds or marks
  • Credit cards Visa and Mastercard, Amex etc. You will be charged 3% of the total transaction. (You should let your card issuer know that you are travelling and you will be using your card in Indonesia. Otherwise, it is possible for the card issuers to block payments from abroad for security reasons)
Please note that there are only a few ATM (Automated Bank Machines)on Nusa Lembongan. We offer Money Changing service at our office for gguests needing local currency (based on BCA exchange rate). We recommend that you stock up on money before leaving mainland Bali. Payments by Credit Cards are calculated in Indonesian Rupiah and attract a 3% surcharge, Paypal payment attract a 7% surcharge.

Cancellation, Changes and Refund Policy

If you need to cancel your program due to illness or personal reasons at any point before your arrival the following policy will apply:

  • No show: No refund or credit will be issued.
** We strongly recommend you take trip protection insurance to ensure you do not incur any financial lost.

Course Cancellation Policy

If you cancel a course due to illness or personal reason at any point during the course, you will be charged the following fees:

Open Water Diver Course:

1,500,000Rp per day day fee
PADI Certification: 700,000Rp Fee (PADI Fee must be paid if student wish to receive a 1 year referral form)

Continuing Education Course:

Price of course minus the PADI Certification divided by number of days.
PADI Certification: 700,000Rp Fee (PADI Fee must be paid if student wish to receive a 1 year referral form)

Watersport (Diving and Snorkelling) Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your fun dives, snorkelling trip, PADI course, scuba review or pre-booked activities prior to arrival at our Dive Resort, you will forfeit your deposit. If you cancel your pre-booked activity during your stay at the resort we will charge your account the full price of the activity. If it was pre-paid, no refund will be allowed.

** We strongly recommend you get trip cancelation insurance.

Accommodation Cancellation, Changes and Refund Policy

If you need to cancel your stay due to illness or personal reasons at any point before your arrival the following policy will apply:

** We strongly recommend you take trip protection insurance to ensure you do not incur any financial lost.

Miscellaneous

Be sure your Passport has a minimum of more than 6 months validity and 3 blank visa pages for arrival into Indonesia Some countries require Visa on Arrival to be paid upon arrival in Indonesia, this is USD $35. Please check about your passport before departure from home. Visa on Arrival is for 30 days only so please plan accordingly. If you require longer in the country please let us know and we can offer further information Please carry Indonesian cash. (Change foreign currency in South Bali as it can be difficult to exchange outside of main cities) Diving and Health Insurance are required, DAN offers comprehensive Hyperbaric Chamber insurance and this is most definitely recommended. A further insurance covering medical treatment is also required. Ceningan Divers and our team will not be responsible for costs accrued due to inadequate medical insurance coverage. Dive Assure is a good option for coverage.

Privacy Policy

Ceningan Divers and Ceningan Resort recognizes that privacy is important. We would like to ensure our customers that any data collected during the payment process and during the course of email communications will not be used for any other purpose. Your data will not be disclosed to any third party other than those directly involved in the payment and email processes.
