My name is Angga, I’m a PADI Divemaster and I love it.
Nearly 2 years ago when I start working in diving industry, I would never have thought I would living the dream on Nusa Ceningan working as a PADI Divemaster. When I look back now over the last months, choosing to come here for my divemaster Scholarship was the best decision I ever.
Back when I was working in the office, I heard people say “my worse day diving is better than your best day in the office” To think on this now, just blow my mine. Since my first dive, I find there’s always something in every dive that makes me want to push my limit and to learn more
January 15th was the first day of my PADI Divemaster internship here with Ceningan Divers, learning from zero to hero with this professional team privilege of this opportunity. It helps me better myself, teach me how I could protect the delicate ocean ecosystem, deal with compressor, servicing scuba gear and much more.
I found the Divemaster program both rewarding and challenging, developing my scuba skills, learning about navigation, decompression theory, safety procedures and putting it all to practice! There is so much to learn like good buoyancy, knowledge of the environment and dive theory and much more such as interpersonal skills including interacting with other team members and customers.
I completed my program with a deep sense of pride, a newfound confidence in myself as a diver, and an amazing new dive family. Plus now I have stronger shoulder muscles than ever (playing with tanks every day).
This scholarship has been the best thing that has happened to me. It has taught me professionalism in the industry, and how to ensure the diver I take around the dive location, have the best and safest dive.
I wanted to do something with my life that would somehow influence other peoples to live positively, I wake up every morning grateful for this opportunity. I get to see people fall in love with the ocean and push themselves out of their comfort zones.
I listen to that voice inside of me that keeps on saying:
“This is what you are here for”.
Being a Divemaster has helped me see my potential, but it also helped me understand my abilities and my love for people and the ocean.
Learning to be a good divemaster with Ceningan Divers has been one of my most memorable and enjoyable times of my life, thank you for this unforgettable opportunity.
